We are thrilled to announce the Friends of Chamber Music’s 75th season!
However, we would also like to express our appreciation for the success of the short 74th season.
Both musicians and audience have returned to live concerts with great enthusiasm. Some of the highlights of the performances from this season include:
- Modigliani Quartet playing Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden”;
- Hans Finckel Setzer Trio‘s rendition of Antonin Dvorak’s third piano trio;
- Takacs Quartet presenting the Canadian premiere of the Stephen Hough String Quartet and Mr. Hough joining them for a sparkling performance of Antonin Dvorak’s second piano quintet;
- Our two outstanding Czech Quartets, the Bennewitz Quartet & Pavel Haas Quartet;
- A farewell concert ending a 24-year association with the Vienna Piano Trio;
- And we presented the engaging group of young Korean women, the Esme Quartet for the first time;
- We ended our season on Sunday, May 8th with the ever-reliable Emerson String Quartet.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend any of the concerts this season!
