On Sunday, April 19th, 2015, the 61st Annual Young Musicians Competition finals were held at Koerner Hall in Kits Point.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support the musicians, the event was a great success. We would also like to offer congratulations to our finalists!
There were $5,000 in prizes awarded to winning groups, decided by Jane Coop, concert pianist and chamber musician, and former senior professor and head of the piano division at the University of British Columbia.
The Audience Prize donated by one of the society’s directors, Malcolm Hayes, of $500 each was also awarded to one junior group and one senior group.
