This is the Friends of Chamber Music’s THIRD year participating in #GivingTuesdayCa! After the commercial madness that is Black Friday and CyberMonday, Giving Tuesday lets us give back to the charities we love.
Take part in the opening day of the giving season by spreading the word about your favourite charities–like us!
Countdown to Giving Tuesday:
Why we’re participating in #GivingTuesdayCa:
Did you know we rely on a 100% volunteer board and dedicated volunteers to put together our entire season? All our expenses are paid through ticket sales and donations. While ticket sales make up about 70% of our annual budget, we rely heavily on sponsorships and donations from our patrons to ensure you enjoy an amazing chamber music experience.
We are always grateful to our generous patrons who support our programs through sponsorships and donations, but by using #GivingTuesdayCa on social media, we can get the word a little farther to ensure that all of our dedicated volunteers’ hard work isn’t for naught.
Please join this year’s campaign on December 3, 2019 and donate. We are a registered charity so you will receive a tax deductible receipt. Use the hashtag #GivingTuesdayCa on your social media channels to tell the world why you support us, and don’t forget to tag us @FCMVancouver, so we can send you love back.
“We have two days that are good for the economy. Now we have a day that is good for the community too.”
Want to give a little more?
We could always use some more volunteers!
- Deliver brochures to music shops, cafes, other cultural venues and community spaces. If you have time and a way to get around town, we’d love your help!
- Be a social media ambassador! Do you spend time on Facebook, Twitter or blog? We’d love to hear from you! We have lots of tips so you don’t need to be an expert.
- Ensure our events are listed on the plethora of online spaces. All you need is time, a computer and the internet for this job.
Interested? Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’d like to thank you in advance,
Friends of Chamber Music
