It is a particular joy to welcome another young and distinctive quartet to our stage. Named for the small city that was home to the great stringed instrument makers Amati and Stradivari, Quartetto di Cremona is the first Italian ensemble we have hosted in many years, and we are thrilled to have them share an all-Italian program of music with our audience. These pieces reveal the chamber music musings of composers often better known for orchestral or operatic works.
