Recognized for its virtuosity, exuberant performance style, and adventurous repertory choices, the Pacifica Quartet has received international recognition as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today. Quartet-in-residence at musically-renowned Indiana University, the group is acclaimed for its stamina in performing and recording string quartet cycles, including the Shostakovich and Carter cycles. In this concert, the ensemble plays music by 20th century master György Ligeti along with Beethoven and Mendelssohn selections.
