The magnificent Emerson String Quartet, has played for us 30 times over 70 seasons, receiving yet another well-deserved standing ovation last year. For our 71st season, this 9-time Grammy Award-winning group will delight us with works by Mozart (K464, fifth of the “Haydn” quartets), a middle period Beethoven quartet (Opus 59 No 1, “Razumovsky”) and later period Bartók quartet (No 5, Sz 102) for their 31st concert for the Friends.
