Since their first appearance with us in 2008 we have experienced spirited music making on each visit by this dynamic Polish quartet. The Szymanowski Quartet joins forces with well-known violist Richard O’Neill, a regular member of CMS for a number of past concerts, and the violist in James Ehnes’ string quartet. Together, these musicians help us celebrate the 70th anniversary of Friends of Chamber Music with a special pair of concerts playing all six of Mozart’s elegant and beautiful quintets for two violins, two violas and cello. These melodious masterworks are rarely heard, let alone all of them together!
