Due to unforeseen circumstances, violinist Stephen Waarts is substituting for Anna Katharina Wildermuth with the Aris Quartett for this North American tour.
As a result, the Aris Quartett has modified the concert programme, replacing Gyorgy Ligeti’s String Quartet No 1 “Metamorphoses Nocturnes” with Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet in B-flat Major, Opus 76 No 4, “Sunrise”. Felix Mendelssohn’s first string quartet, Opus 12, and Beethoven’s quartet, Opus 54 No 1 “Razumovsky”, are still on the programme.
